These
attractively designed buildings are of high quality construction and
strong enough to accommodate the heavy, more powerful lawn and garden
tractors and attachments now popular. The sturdy plywood floor is 7 inches
from ground level, minimizing any tendency to draw dampness or to rust
stored equipment. The treated foundation skids are rot and termite
resistant, and facilitate moving the shed, if necessary. Built-in
doorstops and tight eaves eliminate draft and minimize dust accumulation.
STURDI-BILT Storage
Barns are ideal for storage of lawn furniture, garden tools,
bicycles & more and could serve as a handyman’s workshop. With
interior work these buildings can be converted into offices, studios, and
cabins. Because of its standard home-style construction, any STURDI-BILT Storage Barn

workmanship are the

carefully built to order, the way a carpenter builds a house. Standard
wood framing techniques and materials are used, scaled to shed
dimensions. Two 4x4 pressure treated timber skids form the foundation
runners. Three 4x4 pressure treated timber skids are under 10’ and 12’
wide barns. Floor joists are standard 2x4’s spaced 16 inches on
center, and covered with ¾" tongue and grooved plywood flooring
… screwed down to minimize squeaks. 2x4 studs frame the walls and are
spaced 16-24" on center (depending on wall height). The rafters are
standard 2x4’s, spaced 24 inches on center, and are designed to give
maximum headroom over most of the floor area. The roof consists of
7/16" exterior grade OSB sheathing covered with 240# fiberglass
shingles. Residential woodgrain panel siding with reverse battens
finishes the exterior.

Classic Lofted Barn

The Classic Lofted Barn comes equipped with 6'
tall walls (instead of 7') and end lofts with 4' of access between the
lofts. The standard doors can only be installed in the endwalls and
windows placed in sidewalls will be lower than usual. |

All
models feature double, swinging doors trimmed in a choice of decorative
patterns (view door trim options), opening a full
45½" wide with 5’11" height on 8' wide buildings. 10' and
12' wide buildings are outfitted with 60"
wide doors. Optional 72" wide doors are available on some
buildings. Doors are strengthened by a 2x4 frame and fitted with top
quality bolts and latches. The sidings and trims of our wood buildings are painted red, white,
taupe, beige, brown, tan, blue, green, almond, olive green, burgundy,
black, gray, or charcoal. Buildings may be prime painted only or painted custom colors. Standard
shingle colors include white, black, green, and three shades of both gray &

wood floor can be deleted and the building built on-site on a concrete
pad. Popular options include windows, shelves, ramps, and vents.

overall width for 8' wide buildings and 60" wide for 10' and 12'
